Well Momcat I think Photoshop is going to drive me nuts.  I keep thinking I'm finished with my basic introduction to the program, and then I discover another level of possibilities, commands and madness.   It's like caves, underneath caves, underneath caves, a bottomless morass.  But I have achieved my summer goal of being able to use it.  I'm working out some interesting structural icon bases, I will post them if they look okay.  I'm pretty sure the scanner is not going to work, so I might need tech help with that, and I have a few more photoshop questions.   I have art I need to scan and then colorize--Ann_Tara's and Tzzzz's pieces.

I enjoyed the meal at the Cove last night and the chocolate cake and ice cream was yummy.  It is totally unfair that you order sweet-potato fries so I won't steal them.    Next  week the cuisine of choice is Mexican, I'm not sure where we are going yet, but I will call everyone at the usual time.

I was telling Ann_Tara what a bust my television watching has become.  The one show I really wanted to see the Castle season opener, I missed.   Ann_Tara says it will be streamed at the network, so when I'm off work that's what I will be doing tonight.   That and watching episode three and four along with SGA rewind.

It appears Vala is getting into Supernatural, I'm going to give it another try too.   It's all Ann_Tara's fault her descriptions and analysis of the episodes are soooooo tempting.  I asked her today if I could skip the first two seasons and jump in at three and four.  The short answer was--No.  So I feel another time sump coming on.

Work is calming down and I'm catching up on my sleep.   I've been on a creative burst since the middle of summer and I hate to let it go.   I also want to get back to the jewelry making and avoid house cleaning as long as possible.     I will be posting the rest of the icons for Hide and Seek and 38 Minutes soon.  I went way over-board on the 38 Minutes icons but I learned quite a few new techniques.

Sounds as if you have turned into an icon junkie. But at least it is fun for you, when the frustration doesn't get to you first.
I did get regular fries, which you helped yourself to some. I don't do sweet potatoes.
I will be bringing the Supernatural seasons 2,3, and 4 to the mountains with us. Hopefully you can get B. to lend you Torchwood. Wouldn't mind seeing it again. Captain Jack is easy on the eyes.
When you get the icons finished I will have to check them out. Talk with you later. Enjoy the Mexican. Don't forget Helen. (She bought the desert at the Cove.)

I know she bought the dessert at the Cove. I think you both are in league with the server. He was kinda cute wasn't he. She also paid for the Margaritas. I hope you noted it was Elemgi who made off with your French fries and not me. She beat me to the potato pile, I think she needed the carb lift more than I did.

I only need to make a couple of more icons for '38 minutes' to actually have 38 icons. I was trying out some interesting effects, and my processing is getting better. I'm also learning how to do things faster with short cuts. I think I am going to order Photoshop Elements 7 before the trip so I can play with it in the mountains. I just can't afford the $700.00 bucks for the full program, not right now.

I will show you some of the basics if you are serious about leaping into it. Prepare yourself for lots of frustration. Momcat is a great teacher, she's been calming me down when I get nuts. Though lately it's mostly been the HTML. I also need to learn the Google Documents better, so I can edit Tzzzz's stories faster. I know you are not a McShep fan but her stories are fantastic. Elemgi is reading them now and I warned her about my up-coming betaing credit. I didn't want her spewing all over her computer with laughter.

I will try to get Tomfoolery to loan us Torchwood. I'm pretty sure he's already offered. He's having a bad time right now with his eyes. I need to call him tonight and see how he doing.

I do have several Carson Icon finished, in one he looks kinda creepy, I'm not sure I'm going to include it with the rest. It continues to amaze me how photos change as the dimension goes down. At 500 pixels he looks fine, at 100 pixels he looks very sinister.

I think the same woman who is feeding Elegmi's cats will also be able to feed 'Gray Boy 2'. I'm worried about him, he's totally feral, not people friendly like Chapette. I actually managed to touch him again last week and petted his head. He didn't hiss or strike at me, he just looked surprised and very wary.

I will feed Chap/Chapette this weekend if Elegmi can't so don't worry, that cat has us well trained. Have a great time at the House o Mouse wine snob gathering. (LOL)

Glad you are continuing to have fun with Icon making and beta'ing peoples stories. Hopefully when I can get my act together, I will be doing some more art work.
Actually at the Cove, you got most of my fries, but at Joe's you didn't get any cause Elemgi grabbed them up. You didn't seem to mind though, Perhaps you got your fill. LOL.
Looking forward more toward the mountains. Hopefully it won't be quite as cold this year or as rainy as the previous. I am counting on the two weather addicts to let me know the kind of clothes to pack.
Started cleaning yesterday. Did all the bathrooms, sinks, bathtubs, shower and floors. Took a bit of time but I Lysoled myself into a stupor.
Still having some allergies with the eyes. Have a horrible feeling it is the cat mostly. We will see when I am away this weekend. Need to find out if Lisa is going to stay the night and which night. If she is going to stay over Saturday, I might ask her to take out the garbage as collection is very early on Monday morning. I will talk with you both before I go. Enjoy your week.

Uh, yeah.. remember that the things that make PhotoShop so useful are also the things that make it such a pain in the behind to use!!! There are way simpler and easier tools out there, BUT they are limited in their function. This makes 'em easier to learn, but there's so much less you can do with 'em. Keep on truckin', kid, you're doing fine... strong work!!!

Re sweet potato fries... they're good !! The fact that you won't steal 'em is a plus, but not my main motivation... you just can't get frozen sweet potato fries at the Publix, is all..

Actually, I'm on a house-cleaning binge right now.. probably brought on by finally locating and repairing the pinhole in my waterbed, so I had to get all the clean laundry off of it so I could sleep on the thing..!
