The Chicago Creation Con is August 21st-23rd. UF Classes start the 24th.
Okay, that makes more sense. I figured the dates were on ISIS, I just hadn't gotten around to worrying about next year's schedule yet. Got to get through this semester! ;) For some reason, though, I thought Vela3 (that makes sense too - hee!) told me the convention was the first weekend in August. That's why I was confused when you were talking about the first week of classes. That's way too soon! Obviously I'm confusing the Chicago con with something else going on the first weekend in August. Got to check my calendar.
I can't come up with clever names to denote my friends. Everyone else can, I never can - and even if I do, I don't remember the names I made up from post to post. ;) I thought you were referring to the other one sitting next to you that night at dinner - is that Owl? I thought she was considering going too, and maybe had made a decision.
Anyway, I can't imagine that being good for you at all. Isn't that weekend a big one for students buying books - at least, it's the start of the big book buy. Time-wise that could work out for me because we'll have already gotten The Girl Child up and checked into the dorm the weekend before that. Financially is another thing. I can't justify it right now.
