Long Day

It's been a long day.   I started early going to Mom's abode to check on her and then went to work. I didn't get home until 7:30pm.  On Thursday night I helped Elemgi get her journals up and running.  Normally I post on Lj, but I want to see if this shows up on Elemgi's reading list, and also cross posts to my Lj.  I'm not sure I have the cross-post settings correct.

I am still playing around with customizing this journal, when I have spare time I make small changes in the colors.   I also need to make more  non-SF icons.  I enjoy making icons and I need to sketch some original pieces.   Maybe I will try to get the scanner up and running tonight.

I really like what you've done with the look of this blog, and kudos to you for not just cross-posting, like I'm doing. Though I do consider my ann_tara DW a back-up, so the cross-posting will continue because that's what it's set up for. I hope to do something completely different with my other DW blog, though I've done absolutely nothing with it so far.

Take Your Time and Think About What You Want to Do

Thanks for the encouragement. One of my main goals of the summer was to get a basic understanding of how both of my journals worked. I'm not quite there yet, but I still have another four weeks. My next assignment is to get my scanner up and running to start entering my artwork, and colorizing it. My first project will be a masthead, for this site. And then I might start customizing my Lj and making a masthead for it. This was good practice. I have two invites that DW sent me (recently-that surprised me), so I am going to use one of them to set up my fan-fiction posting journal. Which means I need to think up another identity. I used your second invite for Elemgi, and she is very appreciative.

I think you are wise to create another journal it gives you a space to explore other creative branching's. I like the idea of my Sporangia identity being a Saeob thing and an outlet for commenting on fan-fiction. But I won't post my fan-fiction here. I will post essays and recommendations and news of what we are doing. I will keep all personal stuff locked and even then I won't mention names, other than our chosen fan names.

I am cross-posting, or trying to. I like writing on both journals, I don't have as many people to keep up with as you do so it is easier at this stage. When classes start up again I won't have as much time for this.
